Today we all know that education is must for everyone but are afraid about the safety of our children due to the increasing number of crimes in Michigan. Michigan Homeschooling may be the most promising way to give our children a higher level of education while mitigating worries about safety. As the name implies, with homeschooling programs you may educate your child within an atmosphere that addresses special learning opportunities available in Michigan. Homeschooling may also offer a self paced study schedule in which the student isn’t forced into their classmates’ pace, required to submit coursework on arbitrary deadlines or complete final examinations. Though powerful vested interests oppose homeschooling, it is also true that parents see the benefits of homeschooling a child. There are obvious reasons that make homeschooling the best way to teach the values that most parents believe and hold true in Michigan.

Homeschooling provides the best education in moral and religious beliefs for children. Instead of having alternative forms of sexuality thrust upon them by the state-mandated curriculum at the age of seven, parents can introduce these concepts at an age that is more appropriate for the child. When deciding to educate their child, a big decision and one of the keys concerns that comes to every parent’s mind is whether or not he or she has the ability and knowledge to be a teacher and do the job correctly. But in Michigan, homeschooling parents have the support of over 100,000 other families and over 1,000 support groups and networks that have been set up to assure that parents are successful. In addition, the internet has changed the face of Michigan and homeschooling forever by offering virtual tours, online distance learning programs, educational games and activities that make the Michigan homeschooling dynamic. Instead of having to settle for the curriculum promoted by lobbyists and special interests homeschoolers may choose from the best and brightest instructional methods in America – or the world for that matter.

Homeschool programs give children more focused education and more individual attention than a school, providing alternative academic time and support through online systems. Furthermore, the Internet can assist busy parents too as children have an entire online library available at their fingertips. In fact, due to the advances technology there are more tools available than ever to assist parents in the task of providing homeschool education for their children. For those students who live in rural areas, homeschooling is best at providing an efficient learning environment. Riding a bus for an hour each direction is more a waste of time than anything else. Therefore those students who are homeschooled often have better computer skills than their public school peers. Another benefit that makes homeschooling better than a public school is that it is difficult for a teacher to rotate 25 to 30 students through the use of classroom computers in any timely manner. So now if you are in any confusion about Michigan homeschooling environment, just consider all the benefits that a homeschool program offers parents and their children as well.

One of the benefits of online homeschooling is that homeschoolers have the flexibility to pursue their passions and still accumulate instructional time for those offline activities. What benefits are there vs public or private schooling? Do you find that you have better control of your kids (discipline wise)? Do you find that your kids have better manners?

I really need some honest opinions. I went to public school myself and hated it. Please no mean comments.

Parents choose homeschooling for many different reasons. Some families want to build up their family ties; homeschooling offers the parents freedom to create and pattern individualized and specific curriculum, safety reasons, peer pressure and discontentment with the school system.

Homeschooling moms and dads devote a lot of time guiding and working with their kids, usually having the feeling that modern fast paced living is ruing the closeness of the family.

Family undertakings and activities like shared chores, group projects and games are consistent elements of the homeschool plan, wherein these families benefit from the quality time they devote to each other. Parents believe that homeschooling reinforces the family and permits the children to formulate their own personal decisions and choices without the influence of peer pressure.

One doesn’t have to have or acquire a remarkable educational attainment or background or have plenty of money in order to be successful at homeschooling. Studies show that parents who merely finish high school or even less can do a good job in educating and teaching in homeschool as those parents with education degrees.

The structure that you want for your child’s educational knowledge and involvement will be determined whether you settle to teach from a homeschool curriculum package or an unstructured homeschooling approach, offering individualized and flexible time, allowing you to teach subjects in accordance to the child’s development and interest; the quantity of unit or hours of learning per subject would be entirely to your own judgment.

Homeschooling permits the parents to adapt and customize the curriculum according to the child’s learning capabilities. Children needing extra time to spend developing their math skills will be provided with that time, by cutting the period of time spent on subjects that the child is progressing well on so that he/she can have ample time to spend in his weak area.

In addition, parents can also construct the curriculum to meet the child’s personal learning style; some children learn best through hearing, others through reading, and others are hands-on learners. It is only in homeschooling that children can go into and investigate subject matters in such a manner that they learn best.

Homeschooling benefits are only as restricted as to the parents’ own imagination and creativity. As the child’s parent, nobody is more familiar with what informative interests your child holds and only in a homeschool and as a teaching parent can you can find out and establish the time required to be used on any subject for your kids to complete and accomplish with the understanding and support that they truly deserve.

Hate being late to school and rushing out of the house ? I do too ! Too bad we can’t be like those homeschooled folks.
Help answer the question about homeschooling benefits
What are the benefits of homeschooling my kindgartener?
My daughter is 5 and was admitted into a private school for kindergarten at the age of 4 after passing an accessment test. Before that, I taught her all the pre-requisites and she was excelling at a very young age. I started teaching her officially at the age of 2 and a half. She was very motivated and loved learning. Now, after finishing kindergarten in school, shes become lazy and unmotivated. Her attitude has changed for the worst and her work has become sloppy and carelessly done. I compared her work from age 3 to now and her earlier works were far neater.

Shes a busy body, constantly in motion, more than the average kid her age from my observation. I feel that the one on one time was going better for her than the classroom environment. The slower pace of the classroom (because there are more kids, 15 exact) she is getting less attention and therefore getting lazy and careless in her work…

What should I do, should I homeschool her instead..
